Where does our data live?

The platform and the database are in the Netherlands, ensuring your files never leave EU borders. Annex C of the terms names every party that touches them, with its location.

Can we keep AI processing inside Europe?

Yes. By default, Simply sends all AI processing traffic through EU-based AI datacenters with our European Azure partnership. However, users who bring their own AI-key are themselves responsible for ensuring that key matches their needs for geographic data processing. We’re happy to provide further guidance about this topic upon request.

What does it mean to be ISO 27001 certified?

It means an independent auditor has verified that we manage information security the way the international standard requires: documented processes, access control, risk management and regular reviews, checked again every year. It is not a one-off badge but proof that protecting your data is built into how we run the company, and we send you the certificate on request.

How safe is the data in our database?

Every row is bound to your workspace and encrypted at rest, so your data can never reach another customer, and the whole platform runs on Dutch infrastructure under our ISO 27001-certified security processes.
