Search & match

AI search & match that beats human recruiters.

Simply’s AI search & match uses a matching protocol that’s fully EU-compliant, and produces incredible results.

Concept preview of job-level matching, not a recording of a released feature. On Northwind's Senior Product Designer job, a recruiter opens Matching. Three fictional candidates appear with illustrative match scores and job-related reasons. The recruiter opens Thomas Marken, reviews evidence against the role requirements, and adds him to the shortlist. No actual search, employment decision or record update is performed.

Logic-based searches powered by human language.

Recruiters can now speak in natural language to search their extensive database of candidates, and Simply translates it to filters.

A match made in heaven.

Simply’s AI matching can be triggered either from within a vacancy, to look for ideal candidates, or from within a candidate, to find ideal jobs.

Fully compliant with the EU AI Act.

Being EU-compliant means not having to worry about regulatory issues, certification problems or fines. Here’s how Simply offers a fully compliant AI search & match:

You are always in control.

Maintaining control over your agentic processes is a crucial factor in EU compliance.

The matching formula

The exact formula weighting of a specific vacancy can be completely fine-tuned from a job’s page. In your organisation settings, you can also define the relevancy or sensitivity of every data field in your database for matching.

What people ask about search and matching.

What do you mean by the Matching Protocol?

The entire matching protocol is a multi-step process that Simply follows in order to match candidates to vacancies. It consists of a must-have knockout round, a requirements & wishes scoring round, a weighted formula ranking, and a final AI-powered re-ranking to catch any nuances.

How does the requirements scoring work?

When analysing a vacancy, Simply identifies all of the different requirements and their importance. During the initial must-have knockout round, candidates that don’t have a specific must-have criterion are eliminated. Then, remaining requirements are given a score based on their importance. The more important a requirement is, the higher the score it provides. Candidates are then given a total score based on how well their skills and experience match the job’s requirements.

How does the weighted formula ranking work?

The weighted formula ranking is an optional setting inside each vacancy. When creating a job, recruiters can optionally tweak that job’s specific formula weights, to account for the hiring company’s preferences. For example, a company might place a higher importance on soft skills over hard skills, or the position might be hybrid, meaning location match is less important. By default all of the weights carry equal importance, but if changed, this will affect each candidate’s final score in the ranking accordingly.

What is the AI-powered re-ranking?

Once a ranking has been made of the best fitting candidates based on pure logic objectivity, we then give Simply a final opportunity to evaluate the top 20 candidates and dive deeper into each of their specific profiles. Oftentimes, there are hidden nuances that affect a candidate’s suitability, that won’t be discovered by just looking at their skills. For example, in their initial intake meeting, a candidate may have indicated a strong preference to work in a certain industry, and if that matches the job’s industry, Simply can choose to add additional scoring to account for this. Every re-ranking decision is clearly explained and can be overridden by the recruiter.
