Building predictive models and data pipelines for smarter business decisions.
Every document becomes a source of valuable data.
Simply’s AI-powered, truly reliable document parser understands the data it is reviewing, and where it belongs.
The only limit is your imagination.
Any standardised document can be parsed into structured data. Here are three examples of how our parser is often used:
Candidate CVs
Upload a CV and Simply fills in the candidate profile. As a core ATS feature, work experience, education, skills, languages and certifications each land in their own dedicated component on the profile, ready to search and filter.
Senior Product Designer

Vacancies
Upload a vacancy and Simply builds the job for you. As another core ATS feature, every requirement gets its own row in the job profile, weighted as required, preferred or nice-to-have, ready for matching.
Placement contract

Contracts
Map a placement contract once and every future parsed contract fills in its start date, end date, rate and notice period by itself. The same goes for any document you see often: intake forms, rate cards, framework agreements or reference checks.
It all begins with a mapping template.
Before you can start parsing a document, you first need to create a mapping template for it, to define the structured data you’re interested in and where it lives in your ATS or CRM.

Dates, rates and placement agreements.Creating datapoints
Every piece of parsed structured data is actually a datapoint, just like how your data model consists of them. Anything that is worth parsing must also be worth saving, so start by updating your data model to include all of the datapoints that you intend to parse.
Placement contract
ContractsThe mapping template
A mapping template consists of some context as to what the parsed document is, as well as a collection of datapoints as defined in your data model. The better you define your mapping template and datapoints, the easier it will be for Simply to execute its task.
Parse confidently without worrying about data loss.
Simply never overwrites your data just because a document says something different. Every parsed value that would change existing data becomes an AI proposal first.

You decide what changes
When a parsed document disagrees with what is already in your ATS, Simply shows the old data next to the new and waits for your approval. Nothing changes until you say yes, and every approval is stored in the audit log.
What people ask about parsing.
Which file types can be parsed?
Simply can read the most common file types: PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown and HTML files. If you frequently receive other file types, feel free to let us know and we can explore incorporating those too.
Does it work with other languages?
Yes. Parsing works in any language. It’s even possible to include a language conversion step, allowing you to parse documents in one language and translate them into another before syncing the information with your ATS/CRM.
Are parsed documents also saved somewhere?
Yes. By default and where possible, Simply will save a copy of the input document to the files tab of the record object that was parsed to.
Can you help me create mapping templates?
Of course! Although we try to make everything as easy as possible for our users to configure things themselves, we understand that not everyone wants to. To receive help with any setup-related work, please reach out to enquire about our consultancy services.

Never complain about CV parsing again.
CV parsing has long been one of Simply’s most-appreciated features, a major step up from older parsing technology.
